]]> Lightning over Kingsnorth Power Station, Kent, England. Five decent images. Six 'stop and searches by the police! The best photographs were missed due to showing the police the images I'd already managed to get. I was driving around North Kent to look for good places to photograph, at 1.00 am, during the best storm I've seen in the UK in many years. But didn't know the area at all well, so was following intuition. 'Intuition' is a bastard! It took me to a place between Kingsnorth Power Station and a Environmental Activists 'Climate Camp' - during the night of a proclaimed '24 Hour Day of Action'. The activists had suggested they would attempt to break into the power station. So an interesting evening. And I now have a 'Pink Slip' to state I have been 'Stopped And Searched' under Powers of Terrorism. Actually, I was beside the road - already stopped. The Police stopped, and then searched me and my car. Four Police cars stopped, and just asked a few questons, said' 'Nice photos!' and said I was fine doing what I was doing, where I was doing it. One Minibus stopped, asked questions, again said 'Nice Photos! Brilliant night for it!' searched the car thoroughly, and left me. The last one just pulled up, searched, questioned, and issued a 'Pink Slip'. Wonderful consistency. Still. Nice photos!
